Role Description

This is a contract role for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager, located in Vancouver Metro, BC, with the possibility of some remote work. The day-to-day tasks include performing SEO audits, keyword research, link building strategies, and utilizing web analytics to inform marketing decisions. The role involves developing and implementing effective SEO campaigns to enhance online visibility and drive traffic.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and skilled SEO Manager to join our growing team. This is a critical role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic direction of our clients' SEO campaigns.

You'll be the primary point of contact for clients, helping them achieve their business goals through effective, data-driven SEO strategies. This is a hands-on position that requires a balance of technical expertise, client management, and strategic thinking.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring campaigns align with their business objectives.
• Conduct in-depth SEO audits, including technical, on-page, and off-page analysis, to identify opportunities for growth.
• Lead keyword research, content planning, and link-building initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console, providing regular reports and actionable insights to clients.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
• Collaborate with our [mention other roles on your team, e.g., content writers, designers, etc.] to execute integrated marketing plans.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: At least 3-5 years of professional SEO experience, preferably within an agency setting.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of technical SEO, including site architecture, crawlability, and server-side issues. Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
• Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to use data to inform decisions and solve problems. Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush) and web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) is a must.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of presenting complex information to clients in a clear and compelling way.
• Soft Skills: You should be a proactive problem-solver who can work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A strong sense of ownership and a passion for continuous learning are essential.
